Seventy five Inventurers of Grades 6 – 11 accompanied by 3 Art Faculty visited Art Bengaluru 2016 at UB City to further visual literacy in arts.
The 10-day festival played host to over 30 artists and 150 artworks, spanning many categories and disciplines.
It showcased artworks of celebrated international and national artists coming together under one roof, screening of world cinema at the open air Amphitheatre, creative workshops for all age groups, talks by reputed artists and performances by global musicians.
On arrival the students assembled on the 2nd floor & were given an overview by Abhishek Naidu, curator of the show .
This was followed by a split into three groups led by each art faculty across the 3 floors of exhibit for an hour.
The field trip concluded with a session in the amphitheatre, where the students reflected, shared & made notes on the observations.
Students went through the entire exhibition of 37 artists looking at paintings, sculptures, art installations, photographs, graphic art, mixed media and more.
They took down notes and listened to curator Abhishek Naidu.
They also had an interactive session with Dutch photographer Daan Oude Elferink.
